Last week I showed y'all a picture of a set of spoons I was sending to a friend and immediately, requests for cooking spoons began! People really liked the pointed tip that allows you to get into the corners of pots. So, this is the first one for sale.
I think the knot in the bowl of this spoon is particularly nice. Not only is it attractive but knots in American holly are very hard. The position of this knot gives the bowl added strength.
The total length of the spoon is 10 inches, so it is a good pot stirrer with a deep enough bowl to be a good serving spoon, as well. The wood is very smooth and finely grained. It feels very good in the hand.
As always, my woodwork is sustainably sourced from trees that are storm damaged or that must be thinned. Each piece is entirely hand made in the ancient greenwood tradition. I use only a hand saw, a small axe and knives. Each piece comes with a handwritten, numbered and signed document. These are heirloom quality spoons that, if properly cared for, will last for generations.
I ship using USPS Ground, which is the least expensive option that included a tracking number. If you prefer Priority Mail or another shipping option, international shipping or would like to combine shipping on multiple items to save a little money, please email me at judson@judsoncarroll.com
Just bought this. Looking forward to giving it to my SIL this Christmas.
