I am particularly fond of this cooking spoon for several reasons. The first is simply the feel in the hand. It is extremely smooth with graceful lines that really display the ultra-fine grain of American Holly. After sanding and sealing with walnut oil, the wood feels not only solid but almost satiny. It is also super light. The bowl is very thin in the center but thicker around the edges. The design, combined with the strength of Holly, makes it a very durable spoon.
